Union Creative Announces Sir Arthur from Ghosts ‘n Goblins (Makaimura)

The mid-’80s spawned a video game series titled Ghosts ‘n Goblins, also known as Makaimura in Japan, which featured the lead character, Sir Arthur. In the game, Arthur had to slay all kinds of monsters to rescue Princess Prin Prin, who had been kidnapped by Satan.

Now Union Creative is going to give you the chance to bring Sir Arthur home. They have announced a new figure with multiple points of articulation and removable accessories for recreating scenes from the game.

HEROCROSS Announces Hybrid Metal Figuration #019S and #019C Star Wars Sandtroopers

Who doesn’t need another Stormtrooper for their collection? That’s why HEROCROSS has announced the addition of two more Hybrid Metal Figuration (HMF) Star Wars Sandtrooper variation figures.

These alloy and plastic hybrids feature a super-deformed likeness of the backbone to the Empire’s forces. The variations feature a white pauldron (#019S) and a black pauldron (#019C) Sandtrooper designating different ranks from the previously released and in-stock, Sandtrooper #019.

They feature metal alloy constructed torso and limbs, with 20 points of articulation. Both versions of the Sandtrooper come with the standard issue E-11 blaster. The black pauldron Sandtrooper (#019C) also comes with the DLT-10 Heavy blaster, and the white pauldron Sandtrooper (#019S) comes with the RT-97C Heavy blaster.

Both are priced at $77 USD with pre-orders open now, and are expected to ship in Mid-December 2016.

Variable Action Heroes One Piece “Whitebeard” Edward Newgate from MegaHouse Announced

One Piece‘s Whitebeard is here! “The Strongest Man in the World” is coming from MegaHouse in their Variable Action Heroes line.

The leader of the Whitebeard Pirates will be featured as a nearly 10-inch figure. It includes two facial parts, a removable cloak, a bisento (pole weapon), and effect parts to recreate the Gura Gura no Mi, his quake-based powers.

The Variable Action Heroes One Piece “Whitebeard” Edward Newgate figure is priced at 13,800 yen, though you will more than likely find it a little cheaper on certain import sites.

He is expected to ship in late March 2017.

Beast Kingdom Announces Egg Attack Floating Millennium Falcon

The beloved Star Wars franchise is back in theaters with an all new film. This means we can expect an influx of new merchandise and collectibles such as Beast Kingdom’s latest announcement the Egg Attack Floating Millennium Falcon. That’s right, you can have your very own miniature flying Millennium Falcon based on the design from The Empire Strikes Back.

The ship that could make the run Kessel Run in less than 12 parsacs is about 5.5 inches in diameter, features LED light effects for the engines and is detailed with all the battle damage from years of flights. The Falcon also comes with an Echo Base magnetic levitation display base. The EA-020 Star Wars Episode V Floating Millennium Falcon is priced at ¥4,990, about $40, and has a late June 2016 release date.

3A Reveals DC Steel Age Batman; Sets Dec. 31 Sale Date

After a successful start with re-imagined versions of Marvel’s Doctor Doom and Iron Man by Ashley Wood, 3A has turned their sights to DC Comics now. Unveiled from them is the DC Steel Age Batman 1/6th scale figure. Standing over 13 inches tall, the Steel Age Batman features 50 points of articulation, including articulated Fingers and Segmented Neck Armor and LED light-up eyes. The figure is a blend of soft goods and sculpted PVC. Batman comes with two Batarangs for taking down the bad guys.

There will be two options available, a regular and a Bambaland Exclusive version. It is priced at $240 (shipping included) and will be released sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2016. Look for the DC Steel Age Batman to go on sale Thursday, Dec. 31st in the Bambaland Store and at select online retailers.

A Behind-The-Scenes Look At The S.H. Figuarts Freddie Mercury Figure

Not sure how I missed this one, but a few days ago Bandai posted to their official YouTube channel a behind-the-scenes video showing some of the process that went into the creation of their S.H. Figuarts Freddie Mercury figure. This is the latest in their celebrity based figures joining the likes of Daft Punk, Michael Jackson and the upcoming Bruce Lee. The S.H. Figuarts Freddie Mercury will be available in March 2016. Pre-orders are now being taken, you might still be able to find some that haven’t sold out.
