The Empire’s Most Adorable Bounty Hunter, Nendoroid Boba Fett

Thursday, December 1st, 2016

I doubt too many will tremble in fear at this little guy, the Nendoroid Boba Fett just screams adorable. The Nendoroid Boba Fett is fully articulated — unlike most other Nendoroids that use swappable parts — allowing him to be posed in various situations and poses. His outfit has been faithfully recreated from this first appearance in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strike Back.

Included with Boba Fett are optional parts that include Han Solo frozen in carbonite with a special stand to display the carbonite block floating through the air. The Nendoroid Boba Fett is priced at 4,800 yen (about $42 USD) and will be shipping in June 2017. Pre-orders are now open but they don’t seem to be available through the English speaking version of the Good Smile Online Shop.

Wednesday, November 9th, 2016

Who doesn’t need another Stormtrooper for their collection? That’s why HEROCROSS has announced the addition of two more Hybrid Metal Figuration (HMF) Star Wars Sandtrooper variation figures.

These alloy and plastic hybrids feature a super-deformed likeness of the backbone to the Empire’s forces. The variations feature a white pauldron (#019S) and a black pauldron (#019C) Sandtrooper designating different ranks from the previously released and in-stock, Sandtrooper #019.

They feature metal alloy constructed torso and limbs, with 20 points of articulation. Both versions of the Sandtrooper come with the standard issue E-11 blaster. The black pauldron Sandtrooper (#019C) also comes with the DLT-10 Heavy blaster, and the white pauldron Sandtrooper (#019S) comes with the RT-97C Heavy blaster.

Both are priced at $77 USD with pre-orders open now, and are expected to ship in Mid-December 2016.

The beloved Star Wars franchise is back in theaters with an all new film. This means we can expect an influx of new merchandise and collectibles such as Beast Kingdom’s latest announcement the Egg Attack Floating Millennium Falcon. That’s right, you can have your very own miniature flying Millennium Falcon based on the design from The Empire Strikes Back.

The ship that could make the run Kessel Run in less than 12 parsacs is about 5.5 inches in diameter, features LED light effects for the engines and is detailed with all the battle damage from years of flights. The Falcon also comes with an Echo Base magnetic levitation display base. The EA-020 Star Wars Episode V Floating Millennium Falcon is priced at ¥4,990, about $40, and has a late June 2016 release date.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Gets Official Character Posters

Wednesday, November 4th, 2015

Today Lucasfilm and Disney released a series of new character posters for one of the most anticipated films this year (or I would dare say recent years), Star Wars: The Force Awakens. These new movie posters feature many of the main characters from the film that includes: Rey, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Finn, and the main villain, Kylo Ren. Hopefully there will be more posters on the way that feature the other characters as well, namely Captain Phasma. Check out the posters below.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars original trilogy alumni Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill who are joined by John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac. It is set to open in theaters worldwide on December 18, 2015.

New STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Trailer Released!

Monday, October 19th, 2015

Tonight during the halftime of ESPN’s Monday Night Football, Lucasfilm premiered to the world the third theatrical trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Now it is here for those that couldn’t deal with sitting through a football game to watch. If this trailer is any sign of what the final film will be, then all I can say is thank you J.J. Abrams. This looks like Star Wars, like the original trilogy that I grew up on.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Gets An Official Movie Poster

Sunday, October 18th, 2015

Lucasfilm released a new poster today through their social media outlets for the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Everyone but Luke Skywalker seem to be present in this poster, which makes me wonder how much he will even be a part of this story. Or they are still just trying to keep him under wraps for some unknown reason (yes Disney, we know he is in the movie).

Along with this new poster, a new trailer will be premiering tomorrow night during ESPN’s Monday Night Football. Hopefully whatever is shown, we’ll get a bit more once it is posted online. Stay tuned for that and more to come.
