A Behind-The-Scenes Look At The S.H. Figuarts Freddie Mercury Figure

Sunday, November 15th, 2015

Not sure how I missed this one, but a few days ago Bandai posted to their official YouTube channel a behind-the-scenes video showing some of the process that went into the creation of their S.H. Figuarts Freddie Mercury figure. This is the latest in their celebrity based figures joining the likes of Daft Punk, Michael Jackson and the upcoming Bruce Lee. The S.H. Figuarts Freddie Mercury will be available in March 2016. Pre-orders are now being taken, you might still be able to find some that haven’t sold out. In the meantime, check out this video describing the digital coloring technique that goes into these figures.

New Images of S.H. Figuarts Golden Knight Garo (Nagarekiba Ver.) Reveals Fantastic Detail

Friday, October 2nd, 2015

Over on the official Tamashii Nations blog, they have shared some great new images of the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Golden Knight Garo (Nagarekiba Ver.) figure. This is an amazing looking figure too. If I had to pick something I wasn’t crazy about, it would be that the gold parts of the armor look a bit more yellow looking than the first press images released when the pre-orders opened. I’m not sure it bothers me enough to not pick one up though, as the sculpt and detail look great and I think this needs to be in my collection. The S.H. Figuarts Golden Knight Garo (Nagarekiba Ver.) is priced at 5,940 yen (about $49 USD) and is expected to ship in February 2016.

Official Images Released of Tamashii Nation 2015 Exclusive S.H. Figuarts Star Wars Shadow Trooper

Friday, October 2nd, 2015

At the end of this month in Japan, is the Tamashii Nation (or Soul Nation) 2015 Event. Exclusive to the event, Bandai will have a few figures for fans to purchase, one of those being the S.H. Figuarts Star Wars Shadow Trooper figure, which we now have some official images to check out. This is certainly a nice looking repaint of the regular Stormtrooper, one that would be nice to have, but not sure it is a necessary one though. Considering that unless you can find someone to get the S.H. Figuarts Shadow Trooper from the show for you, this is sure to fetch a high price on the secondary market. So depending how badly you need this, I think it could end up being an easy pass. At least it will be for me.
