He comes with three interchangeable face plates that include a confident standard expression, an aggressive combat expression as well as a sullen glaring expression. Katsuki features a unique outfit that he calls “Full Body Dynamite” which has been faithfully captured in Nendoroid form. Good Smile Announces Figma Detective Conan: Kaito Kid the Phantom Thief and the Criminal

Tuesday, November 29th, 2016

From the anime series Detective Conan, Good Smile has announced the addition of two new Figma action figures, Kaito Kid the Phantom Thief and the Criminal. The Phantom Thief is an all-new figure to the line that comes with multiple interchangeable face plates, sets of hands, plus a variety of optional parts including his card gun, a playing card, and a rose.

The Criminal is an improved version from the previously release Figma that came with figFIX Conan Edogawa. Unfortunately, he doesn’t come with the series main character this time around. He does come with multiple interchangeable face plates, sets of hands, along with weapons that were included with the previous version and available again with an all new set of items including a crowbar.

Both the Kaito Kid the Phantom Thief and the Criminal Figma are available for pre-order, they are priced at ¥6,296 (about $56 USD) and ¥4,444 (about $39 USD) respectively. They are scheduled for release in June 2017.

Medicos Unveils Super Articulated Statue Baoh Limited Edition Figure

Sunday, November 27th, 2016

One of the first anime OVA’s that I saw as a kid was Baoh. This was my first real introduction to the world of anime outside what was just chopped up and regurgitated Robotech/Macross and Voltron for American television.

So when I saw that Medicos was going to be releasing a new figure based on Baoh, my eyes became huge with joy. The version of the character here appears to be based on his appearance in the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle video game.

The Super Articulated Statue Baoh Limited Edition figure comes with an interchangeable face plate, four sets of interchangeable left and right hands, plus a couple of effect parts. It is priced at ¥7,408 (about $66 USD) and is expected to be released February 2017.

Sadly, here’s the bad news. It looks like this will be a limited run of a 1000 and a lottery is being held to acquire the ability to pre-order one of 500. Details are still a little confusing; if there will be a non-limited edition of the figure available is uncertain.

But the great thing about these new images is that they reveal the first of the “Enemy Labor” units with the Robot Spirits (SIDE LABOR) TYPE-7 Brocken! This version of the TYPE-7 Brocken Labor in blue is from the Patlabor TV series, versus the red coloring in the OVA.

More details are to come soon, which includes accessories and pricing along with a pre-order date.
